Scissor Lift Table For Growing Companies

A scissor lift table is a lifting device that uses a scissor mechanism to raise and lower goods or persons.  They are used by a wide range of different types of companies, but are generally used to raise large and heavy loads around small spaces like offices, factories, warehouses and more.  They can also be used to position work personnel at a suitable height for them to carry out above ground work safely and effectively.

Scissor Lift Table is Easily Adaptable

Although these pieces of equipment are common in the industrial sector for moving heavy parts and machinery, their use can be applied to a great deal of scenarios.  They can work in extremely hostile environments, can be manufactured in stainless steel for rust prevention, and can have various forms of equipment mounted onto them.  If you are working with any form of product in bulk, the chances are this is going to arrive at your company in large boxes or containers.  They will most likely weight much more than can be safely lifted by your staff.  They are therefore recommended to help reduce incidents and accidents.  They can reduce musculoskeletal disorders that can occur over time when staff engage in heavy lifting beyond their reach.  An industrial scissor lift table can not only help save you time and money through the efficiency benefits that they offer.  They can also protect your work force and improve levels of job satisfaction amongst your staff.

Common Uses for A Scissor Lift Table

Have a look at some of our main uses for these pieces of equipment:

  • Docking operations and vehicle loading – if you have a heavy load that you need to get onto the back of a truck, a scissor table can lift it to the correct hight safely
  • Access for mobility impairments – can be used for those with mobility issues
  • Pallet handling – perfect for raising pallets to a height that would be difficult with a forklift or trolley
  • Positioning materials – for machines and automated assembly lines that require feeding of certain materials
  • Positioning loads – especially when used with conveyor systems and automated factories
  • Work positioning – to allow workers to access heights and areas so they can do their job safely and effectively
  • Building good – things like furniture and vehicles can utilise them to make the construction process easier
  • Vehicle maintenance – makes working on vehicles easier

Technical Specifications

Generally scissor lift tables come in a range of sizes with various lifting capacities.  Most lifting tables start from a lift capacity of around 150 kilos and go right up to 1250 kilos.  They come in different footprints and sizes so they can fit the intended purpose.  Many lift tables are manually operated, utilising a pneumatic system to lift the table hydraulically, usually in the form of a lever or handle.  There are some scissor lifts that are electric, great for lifting loads easily and quickly.  They can also come in a low profile design, and in a range of shapes that can be applied anywhere.
